AMARI DEBERRY INTERVIEW

TWU: As UConn is currently ranked #8 overall. How do you think the season is going and what are you most looking forward to for the rest of the season?

I think the season is going well, despite injuries to teammates everyone is keeping the faith and working hard!

TWU: What do you think you would describe as your strongest part of your game?

My post presence on both ends of the court I think my length helps my game a lot.

TWU: What’s the atmosphere like in the locker room? Is everyone headphones in listening to their own music, or is there music playing over a speaker? (or both)

We have a mix of both some people really get into their own zone and some just vibe to whoever’s on aux

TWU: What is your favorite memory of playing basketball?

Probably in highschool, my last game with my teammates I’ve been playing with since we were all in 4th grade

TWU: What song is always making your pre-game playlists?

TWU: Besides listening to music, do you have any other pre-game rituals or superstitions?

I always make sure I take a nap

TWU: What are 3 artists that are always on your training playlist?

TWU: How important is music to you when training in between seasons? Do you change up the playlist for that?

Depending on the purpose of the session the music definitely changes

TWU: If you were stuck on an island what 3 songs would you choose to listen to?

TWU: Awesome! Thank you for doing this and good luck the rest of the year!
